Walking
From low-level hikes with a purpose to mountainous walks. Reaching the highest mountain summit or finding the best viewpoint, Lakeland Summits guided walking offers a first class outdoor adventure experience in the Lake District, Lancashire, Yorkshire Dales, Peak District, North Wales and several UK walking destinations. Whether it’s walking in remote places on hidden tracks or enjoying classic well known trails, walking is a rewarding group activity that can be tailored to different abilities and groups of all types from charity treks and training for charity walks, team bonding for organisations, walks for schools/ universities, and guided walking for social groups. Our experienced team of guides and mountain leaders can lead you on gentle walks with interest, or more challenging mountain trails from Helvellyn or Fairfield Horseshoe in the Lake District. You could find you and your group on a Wainwright walking trail scaling the heights of Great Gable or Scafell Pike in the stunning and breath taking Lake District, or experiencing the great outdoors of the Yorkshire Dales and the dramatic limestone paving of Malham Cove. The choice of walks and walking locations is vast with each walking adventure experience different and memorable every time. Rock climbing and abseiling Small or big abseils, abseiling is the ultimate outdoor adventure activity that anyone can do whilst being cheered on by everyone else. It's a lot of fun and often exhilarating when you first walk off the edge but totally in the safe hands of an experienced abseiling instructor to guide you down the abseil. For beginners or more experienced rock climbers we can tailor rock climbing sessions exclusively for you and your group. Orienteering Combining outdoor activity at an appropriate fitness level with a sense of purpose and the obvious need for a range of skills (and good listening) in the team. Canoeing and kayaking Good activities for getting people out of their comfort zones and out on the water - and a great chance to see the best of English scenery from a new perspective. Raft building Brings out the resilience and the resourcefulness of your team. Gorge and ghyll scrambling With Gorge Scrambling / Gorge Walking / Ghyll Scrambling, you can keep it as wet or as dry as you like as you follow one of many streams or becks. The only way to describe this activity is to say that it's like caving with the roof off, tricky traverses, rocky obstacles and plunge pools are all part of the fun. You won't believe how much fun it is until you've tried it. All specialist equipment and clothing including wetsuits, buoyancy aids and helmets are provided. Canyoning If you prefer the downhill ride, canyoning is an exhilarating alternative to the ascents of gorge and ghyll scrambling. Team building games and exercises From high ropes courses to deceptively simple challenge games, Lakeland Summits has a range of team building resources and activities for any and every situation. |
