Via Ferrata
Experience the UK’s only via ferrata located at the Honister Slate mine, Cumbria. Honister's Via Ferrata is an adventure climbing system that uses a permanently fixed cable for safety and protection up the rock face of the old miners' route.
You don't have to be an experienced rock climber to enjoy the Via Ferrata, although you will experience the same thrills but in the knowledge that you are securely fastened at all times.
To cap of this unique superb Lakeland adventure activity, at the top of the climb you can hook up to a zip wire and take a fast track ride down the slope - a breathtaking reward for your efforts.
